Florian Plumeyer is a screenwriter based in Berlin. His feature debut "Everybody Wants to Be Loved" won Best Screenplay at the 2022 Munich Film Festival and received numerous awards at international festivals. He wrote the screenplay for "Till the End of the Night," directed by Christoph Hochhäusler, which competed at the 73rd Berlinale and won a Silver Bear. His adaptation of Stefan Zweig's novel "Beware of Pity" – released as "Unrest of the Heart" – was awarded Best Picture at the Max Ophüls Prize. He also writes for television and streaming productions.
Florian teaches screenwriting at the German Film and Television Academy Berlin (DFFB) and the Catalyst Institute. He studied screenwriting at the DFFB and holds degrees in theater and media sciences as well as ethics. In 2012/2013, he was selected for the Nuremberg Authors' Scholarship. He is a member of the German Screenwriters Association (DDV) and Deutsche Filmakademie.
